Has anyone tried Rt/R and used Volley, Splinter Weapon and Spirit's Strength?

This is for PvE, and so far the only issue I see is attribute spread.

When I get a chance I will test it out and report my findings, if anyone is interested.

I looked up a rit build on pvx wiki that used splinter + barrage and wanted to try it, but I haven't unlocked barrage on my rit yet. So, I tried running what you described. It completely carves through bunched up mobs.

One thing I've been wondering though, if you're firing on 5+ mobs, does Spirit's Strength only work on four targets because of splinter weapon expiring?

I was using a pvp version of that for JQ. It works ok... but i liked barrage + conjure x ranger better. Not sure how it may work for pve with all the damage buffs around like GDW, Scan, that ebon assassin ward.

I wouldn't be using all the PvE skills. So has anyone actually tried Volley + Splinter Weapon + Spirit's Strength? How effective is it in PvE, excluding the PvE skill buffs?

It is more effective with a tank to hold aggro a bit closer, then you rip thru mobs alone even without PvE Buffs (Lightbringer/Urals)

Alone it's mediocre at best, but still an okay option.

It would be volley, spirit str, splinter weapon, ural hammer, I'm the strongest, ebon stendard or another pve skill. Works well with vampiric bow or zealous, you might want to have someone cast orders or judge.

I dunno your spread, I usually went with 14 (or 16 if you don't care about the lower hp)chan, 8 marksmanship (q8 bow) and rest in spawning.

Go with a zealous bow unless you have a BiP Necro or something...

Thinking Barrage, Splinter Weapon, Triple Shot, Nightmare weapon, Favorable Winds, Summon Spirits and the rest don't know yet. I still haven't had a chance to go and try any of this out.

As for weapon spread, think only 8 or 9 in Marks? That seems very small.

(I can't do 8 because it will take me forever and a lot of money to find a bow with a req 8 that I like. I am going to just craft a Feather Flatbow and add Zealous of Fortitude to it)

Have to play around some more, but what do you guys think, for above build in PvE, of the attribute spread?
Max channeling and then split between marks and spawning?
Or Max Channeling and Marks, and the rest in spawning?

All the best

I'd run something like this to be honest.

This is what I ended up with.

Barrage
Savage Shot
Triple Shot
Splinter Weapon
Nightmare Weapon
Spirit Siphon
Favorable Winds
Summon Spirits

Can't say I'm a fan of Triple Shot when not on a Assassin Barrager, they're the only ones who seem to truly benefit from using the skill (5 energy return per hit).

Also why Nightmare Weapon? You have Monks for healing, combining it with Barrage is pointless because you should be using Barrage with Splinter Weapon, and Triple Shot plus Nightmare Weapon for spike damage plus healing is really expensive.

go with a friend, have him run smite monk, he can have his fun too, and ask him to bring GDW(perma, and you would benefit from spirits strngth always, not just from splinter), judges insight and strength of honour, with a spec of 14 or 16 in smiting prayers... yellow numbers will rise soon, and have 1 or 2 heros run your build too, your friend could go e/mo instead and use ether renewal for energy management, you should wipe through practically everything in some seconds...

Great Dwarf Weapon doesn't stack with Splinter Weapon. You can only have one weapon spell active on you at any one time.

I think Great Dwarf Weapon is better on melee to be honest due to IAS which means faster chance of KD's. Stuff like Scythe wielders, whirlwind attack etc are nice in conjunction with Great Dwarf Weapon. While it does work with skills like Volley and Barrage, why use it when you can use Splinter Weapon for massive damage while your allies KD their targets to death?

Obviously it's nice for a Ritualist to have it as well due to increased duration from Spawning Power. It works nice in the dual scythe Spirits Strength Ritualist builds with a Ritualist bonder maintaining Great Dwarf Weapon on them.
